Summer 2010

Art and Painting

White flesh like snow,
And orchid reins tense
like the wind
Four hoovs ringing
like thunder and haistones.
covering heaven and earth
in a single day...
truly, it si one of the dragon herd.

Horse lovers, poets, writers, photographers, yogis, Buddhists practioners or plain old refugees of commercialisms are all welcome at Bunkhan camp, a lovely ger camp set deep in the Khangai mountains. The workshop lasting two weeks include wilderness poetry, meditation, yoga and photography, with space for 10 to 12 at a time. It's a great place to unwind, meet like-minded and commune with nature. Horses are available and visitors can go on pack trips to Blue Lake. The camp is kid-friendly, with plenty of options for fishing, arechery and horse riding.

To sing like this -
Go into the Mountains!
Make use of solitary places for retreat,
And may you become fully perfected.

Wild edible plants and berries grow here,
The sustenance for many sages,
Celestial Juniper trees sway as they dancing,
Celestial bird sing their tunes.
When the mountains valleys turn lush green
The Blue cuckoo comes and sings.

Remaining solitudes,
Meditate as I do,
And the sun of the happines will arise from within.
